My Story
Hi there! I’m Andee, the founder of Foster Financial Literacy. After graduating from UCLA and working as a classroom teacher, I quickly realized something was missing from the traditional school curriculum: real-world financial education. Although students were learning core subjects such as math, reading, art, and science, there was little focus on practical life skills—like managing money, budgeting, and saving—that would help them succeed in the real world.

This inspired me to take action! I’m passionate about closing the gap between what children learn in school and what they need to know in life, especially when it comes to money management. Through our program, I’m on a mission to help children and young adults feel confident and empowered when it comes to their money mindset, which is a muscle that can always grow. Financial literacy isn’t just about numbers—it’s about giving people the tools they need to make informed, smart decisions that will set them up for success, however that picture of success may look like.

I’m excited to help children build a solid foundation for their financial future and watch them actualize into financially savvy, capable contributors of the world. Let’s make learning about money fun, engaging, and something every child deserves to experience!

Yours truly,
Andee
